Yvonne Seitz

Yvonne Seitz of Farmington passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 29, 2012, at the age of 74 years. She was born on July 6, 1938, at Annapolis, MO, daughter of the late Sherman and Zora (LaPlante) Sherrill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, R. D. Sherrill, a sister, Hilda Govro and a brother-in-law, Norbert Lannert. Yvonne graduated in 1956 from Annapolis High School and went on to attend Farmington School of Cosmetology. She had salons in Piedmont, St. Louis County and Farmington for many years having been employed with Reid-Merideth as a wig stylist for Famous-Barr and Stix, Baer and Fuller. Later she became owner/operator of her Farmington salon. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Yvonne will be remembered as a classy lady with an exceptional work ethic. Survivors include her beloved husband of 53 years, Fred Seitz; three children, Patrick Seitz and wife, Mary of Hixson, TN; Michael Seitz of Farmington; and Renee Lowry and husband, Randy of Kirkwood, MO; three grandchildren, Katy Greif of Barnhart, MO, Ethan Seitz and Makenna Seitz both of Hixson, TN; a sister, Betty Davis and husband, Bill, a brother, Don "Bud" Sherrill and wife, JoAnn all of Farmington and a sister, Jean Lannert of Byrnes Mill, MO; one brother-in-law, Francis Govro and a host of nieces, nephews and many good friends. Also surviving is her special friend and former co-worker, Jane E. Link. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Wednesday, October 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Scott Hall officiating.
