FARMINGTON - William "Scott" Bone of Farmington, passed away on May 26, 2023 at his home at the age of 58. He was born in Crystal City, Missouri on July 3, 1964 to Loretta Ann (Charboneau) Bone and the late William Edward Bone. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Catherine and Leo Charboneau of Cadet, Missouri and Mary and Jesse Bone of Old Mines, Missouri. "Scotty" as many called him was a self-employed businessman who owned "Sunfree Glass Tinting". At the age of eighteen he was taught by his father the trade of window tinting. He tinted vehicle windows, residential and commercial building windows. He took much pride and excelled in his profession. His expertise at window tinting was proven as he was hired to do the large windows in the St. Francois County Annex building and many other buildings and homes in Farmington and the surrounding area. Scotty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington where he was active in Teens Encounter Christ. He met his favorite priest there, Father John Bolderson. He loved the land and he was an excellent mushroom hunter. Walking the railroad tracks with his mother, Loretta by her home during mushroom season was one of the special times they spent together each spring. He hunted, fished and grew Ginseng in what he called Gods country. Scotty often took his friends to the swimming hole on his property where he enjoyed the peace and quietness of his cabin and the land it was on. Scotty never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone who needed help. During his childhood and growing up years, he played football and basketball, loved skateboarding and riding his dirt bike. His dream was to become a professional baseball player. He was a great pitcher and played on the Farmington Dolphins, the Flat River Mets (which his Dad coached) and the Mineral Area College team. For several years, in his early 20s, he lived in California, off and on, with his best friend AJ Peterson and his band members. The band was called "AKA". They rocked the heartland as well as California. He also did his glass tinting there. He was thrilled when he got to meet Red Fox. Although Scotty never married, he had some special ladies in his life. Christina gave Scotty a son, Riley, who was a gift, a joy and gave him purpose in life. The last year of his grandmas life, he and his mom were with her continually. He so much enjoyed and loved his grandma and grandpa. In the late 1980s he worked with his father for Combined Insurance, and they received the first "Pal" award for a father and son team. Survivors include his loving mother, Loretta Bone; his sister, Julie Bone, and his aunt, Virginia Charboneau, who lives with Loretta in Farmington, and his son, Riley Russo of St. Louis, Missouri; his best forever friend and love, Christina Stamps, the mother of his son, Riley; Christinas daughter Katrina and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
