William Joseph Meyer

STE. GENEVIEVE William Joseph "Billy Joe" Meyer of Ste. Genevieve passed away August 13, 2021 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus at the age of 51. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri to William Leo and Glenda Lee (Geile) Meyer who survive. Soon after graduation in 1988 from Valle High School Billy Joe began working in construction. He was self- employed and worked at the family owned MeyerCo Construction for twenty-five years. He also helped his dad with the management of Parkview Cemetery in Farmington. An avid outdoorsman, he loved riding horses, hunting and his cattle farm. He will be remembered for being very laid back and easy going with an infectious smile. Survivors in addition to his parents include his two sons, Waylon Meyer and Braeden Meyer; his sister, Sherry Lynn (Dennis) Mueller and Shannon (Michelle) Meyer. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Help Christians Church, 13370 Highway 32, Weingarten, Missouri.
