William James Hinman Sr.

ST. LOUIS William James Hinman Sr., of St. Louis, formerly of Baldwinsville, New York, entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 84. He was born on March 6, 1939, in Syracuse, New York, to the late James and Helen (Tracey) Hinman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Hinman. William is survived by his sons, William James Hinman Jr. (Erika) of Richmond, KY and Jeffrey Hinman (Julie) of St. Louis, MO, his grandchildren, Jacob Hinman, Max Hinman, and Hadley Hinman, his special grand dog, Gabi, along with many friends. William proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired after 27 years of service as a police officer for the Camillus, New York police department. William was a very sociable person who loved his hometown of Baldwinsville and spending time with the coffee group at The Cottage. He also enjoyed his volunteer work at the Baldwinsville Museum. After retiring, he loved attending auctions and traveling to Los Angeles to be with his family. He loved dogs and always had treats in his pocket for any dog he came across. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Per Williams request, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the ASPCA, P.O.
