William "Earl" Forsythe

July 5, 1929 — January 25, 2015

BRANSON - William "Earl" Forsythe, of Branson, formerly of Ste. Genevieve passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Branson, Missouri at the age of 85 years eight months and twenty days. He was born July 5, 1929 at Esther son of the late Melvin Joseph and Ina Mae (Reese) Forsythe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Freda M. (Skaggs) Forsythe on November 29, 2005 and a step-son Larry Moser. Earl and his late wife Freda were the former long-time owners and operators of "Freda's Restaurant" at Ozora. Survivors include his wife Patricia Faye (Garrison) Forsythe of Branson three sons Melvin Forsythe of Nixa, Gary (& Carmen) Forsythe of Minnith, and Larry (& Cindy) Forsythe of Farmington, step-children, Linda (& Mike) Ballew of Park Hills, Cassie (& Bob) Weaver of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Leann (& Jerrit) Trout of Gramby and Max Walker of Eagle Pass, Texas. Other family members left to mourn his passing include three bothers Hank (Delores) Forsythe of Farmington, Jim (& Arlene) Forsythe of Ozark, and Don (& Connie) Forsythe of Branson, two sisters Doris (& Bob) Roth of Potosi and Ada Pyatt of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Malachi (& Becky) Forsythe of Chester, Illinois, Nick (& Amy) Forsythe of Belle, Evan Forsythe of Farmington, Katie Forsythe of Farmington, Becky Forsythe of Farmington, Kyle Forsythe of Farmington and Sara (& Kyle) Curtright of Greys Summit. Eleven great-grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Bob Webb officiating. Interment will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens at Farmington.
