Wendell Lee Comstock

FARMINGTON - Wendell Lee Comstock, of Farmington passed away August 31, 2012 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 67. He was born August 16, 1945 in St. Louis, son of the late Earl J. and Frances G. (King) Comstock. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Shiela Ranae Gonzales, and two sisters Joan Moore and Nina Comstock. Wendell was a retired bottle maker, having worked 29 years at Flat River Glass. He was an active mason and a member of the Marcus Memorial Lodge in Fredericktown. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending shooting matches, and had at one time enjoyed two step dancing. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Hurst) Comstock of Farmington, two children Charles L. and wife Stacy Comstock of Belleview and Hope M. Mahaffey of Leadwood, nine grandchildren, Tata, Jon, Jamie, Paige, Courtney, Kenny, Luke, Brett and Ian, ten great-grandchildren, Matt, Teddy, Gracie, Faith, Joey, Lexie, Brook, Casey, Carter and Brodie, two brothers Earl Comstock of St. Clair and Jack Comstock of Farmington, and a sister Diane Barnhart of Sullivan. He is also survived by many other relatives and close friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Charlie Schrum officiating. Burial will be in the Knob Lick Cemetery. Memorials, if desired may be made to the family.
