Warren Leo Lodholz of Farmington, MO, passed away Sunday, December 27th, 2020, surrounded by his family at Cedarhurst Assisted Living at the age of 100 years. He was born November 2, 1920 in Bonne Terre, MO, the son of the late John and Anna Marie (Neubrand) Lodholz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou, and his brothers Henry, Herman, Adolph, and John Homer Lodholz. Warren was known for his love of family, his Catholic faith, and his witty personality. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a former Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus and served his church as a lector and PTA President for several years. He served in WWII in both North Africa and France. He had an excellent memory and even at age 100 he loved recalling his overseas wartime experiences. He retired from St. Joe Lead Corporation after 37 years in their Accounting department. He was an avid tennis player, playing up until age 82. He loved watching sports and was a huge Cardinals and Mizzou fan. He was recently honored with the Bonne Terre Chamber of Commerce Hometown Hero Award and was also the honored WWII veteran at a St. Louis Blues hockey game. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and connecting with his friends and family daily on Facebook. Warren will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, including four daughters, Lu Ann (Stephen) Lodholz-Hale, Janie Tschida, Judy (Larry) Wallace, Sue (Gary) Ross, and son John (Kris) Lodholz. Grandchildren include Christopher Homolac, Jonathan Tschida, Michael (Sandra) Wallace, Annie Wallace, Kyle Ross, Megan (D.J.) Morris, Elizabeth Anne Menke-Jumet, Katharine Menke, Jodi Fithian, and Dale Stotler. Great grandchildren include Addison and Kennedy Ross, Jackson, Molly, and Brantley Morris, and Mason and Leo Wallace. His family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Cedarhurst Assisted Living and Serenity HospiceCare for their loving care. Warrens family will receive friends at the Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 29th, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday morning from 8:00 to 9:00 am. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 30th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington, MO. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to the Society of St. Vincent DePaul of St. Joseph Parish of Farmington. All in attendance for the visitation and mass are asked to wear facial masks and to social distance.
