Warren Eugene Causey

Warren Eugene Causey of Farmington passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013, at the age of 70. He was born on August 27, 1942, in St. Louis, son of the late Warren Virgil and Ida Bell (Rogers) Causey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Causey. "Gene" as most knew Warren, grew up and went to school in Berkeley, Missouri. At the age of 18 years old he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country and was stationed in Germany. Gene worked at numerous jobs in the commercial industry and was a machine operator. He retired from Crown Zellerbach Corporation in Hazelwood. From the age of seven, Gene was a coin collecting enthusiast and more recently was a certified Numismatist. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Linda (McIntyre) Causey; six children, Linda (Tim) Causey, Ida (Ray) Hahn, Rose (Jay) Ribble, David (Kayla) Causey, Wade Causey and Tina (Jerry) Callaway; seventeen grandchildren, Allan, Chris, Zerick, Sonya, Justin, Cody, J. K., Steven, Crystal, Austin, Macey, Hailey, Kaleb, Lilly, Kailin, Daniel and Holly; a sister, Lorraine Cato; a brother, Michael Causey; a special friend, David Seibert and a host of extended family and friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service beginning at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
