Warner Lee Presson of Farmington, passed away Thursday June 6, 2013 at the Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington at the age of 86 years. He was born January 2, 1927 at Piggott, Arkansas son of the late Loren Lee and Pauline (Winn) Presson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca J. Bray and three sisters, and two brothers. Warner proudly served his country during World War II in the Army. Before retirement, he was employed as a Security Officer with Carter Carburetor Company and was a member of the Farmington Church of God. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, including his wife Bridget (Floyd) Presson of Farmington, two sons Dennis Presson of St. Charles and Michael Smith of St. Louis, a daughter Theresa Melton of St. Charles, a brother, six sisters, and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A funeral service will held on Tuesday at the Cozean Chapel at 10 a.m. with Pastor William Rawson officiating. Warner will be laid to rest, with full military honors, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Farmington Church of God.
