Wanda Pulley

FARMINGTON Wanda Pulley, of Farmington, passed away December 29, 2015 in St. Louis at the age of 81. She was born July 3, 1934 in the state of Indiana to the late James and Flora (Harris) Simmons. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bernell Pulley in 2006 and her siblings, David, Bill, Francis and Faye.

Wanda moved to Farmington in 1955 and worked for the Farmington Pants Factory for twenty years until her retirement. She went back to work as a caregiver for a home health care company after the death of her husband. An active member of the VFW Auxiliary, she also played Bingo every week. She LOVED Bingo. Going fishing was also a favorite thing and she almost always caught the first and biggest fish. Wanda was a nurturing person who loved her grandbabies as well as all babies. Everyone who knew her called her "mom" or "grandma". She will be remembered for her chicken and dumplings which she made every Christmas Eve, even this past Christmas Eve.

She is survived by two daughters, Karan (Jerry) Kennedy and Mary Ann (Norman) Dunajcik; six grandchildren, Danny Resinger, Dean Resinger, Frog Miller, Aaron Kennedy, Laura Kennedy-Macander and Rich Kennedy; one granddaughter; and nineteen great grandchildren;

Friends may call on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Cozean Memorial Chapel at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be at St. Francois Memorial Park.
