Walter Smith

Walter Smith Walter C. Smith of Farmington passed away on September 19, 2006 at St. Francois Manor at the age of 96 years. He was born on February 15, 1910, in St. Francois County, the son of the late Lloyd Churchman and Isippi (Bowling) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Guidia Umfleet Smith, a brother, Lacy Smith, a grandson, Terry Smith, and two step daughters, Doris Johnson Presson and Venita Johnson Holsman. Mr. Smith owned and operated a farm here in Farmington for many years. He is survived by two sons, Donald Smith and wife LaDonna and Edward Smith and wife Louise, both of Farmington. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and long time companion, Virginia Smith of Farmington. The family will receive friends from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 22, 2006. A graveside service will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with Rev.
