BONNE TERRE - Wallace "Wally" James Franklin passed away on February 15, 2025, at Parkland Health Center in Farmington at the age of 89. He was born in Bonne Terre, Missouri on September 29, 1935, to the late Wallace Franklin and Thelma (Link) Franklin.

Wally as most knew him, grew up in Bonne Terre and graduated from Bonne Terre High School with the class of 1953. He lived in Missouri and California at different stages of his life and completed trade school courses to become a pipefitter. He had a long, successful career as a pipefitter working in commercial construction and was a member of the Pipefitters Union. Wally was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Arroyo Grande, California, and the Scottish Rite and Moolah Temple Shriners of St. Louis, MO. He loved traveling between Missouri and California each year, stopping in Las Vegas to enjoy the thrill of the casinos.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lucille (Buttry) Franklin; daughter, Polly (Mrs. Scott) Royster, son, Drew (Melinda) Howe; grandchildren, Abigail, Dane, Garrett, and Ryan; brother, Dwaine Franklin; special cousin Michael Moutray and extended family and friends.
