Virginia Albaugh

FULTON Virginia Albaugh of Fulton, Missouri, formerly of Farmington and Festus, passed away peacefully April 7, 2017 at Presbyterian Manor in Fulton at the age of 97. She was born September 30, 1919 in Fredericktown to the late Mont and Cora (Simmons) Francis. She was united in marriage on June 26, 1937 to Lee Roy Albaugh. They had been married for 64 years when he passed away in 2001.

Also, preceding her in death was a son, Dr. John Lee Albaugh, a grandson, John Eugene Albaugh, a brother, Silas Francis and his wife Vashti, and a brother, Earl Francis and his wife, Madeline.

Survivors include her son, Bryan Albaugh and wife, Janet of Fulton; a brother, Lamar Francis and wife, Ella of Farmington; three grandsons, Brad Albaugh of Chaffee, Kevin and wife, Brandi of Colleyville, TX and Stephen Albaugh and wife Michele of Fulton; six great-grandchildren she adored, John Bryan Albaugh, Jennifer Hamilton and husband, Elliot, Courtney Albaugh, Adam Albaugh, Garrett Albaugh and Delanie Albaugh; a new great-great grandson, Eli Hamilton, who she never got to meet and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia always remained faithful in the Methodist churches in Festus and Farmington. She was very active in the Womens Extension Club in Festus for years. She loved traveling with Lee Roy in their trailer and spending winters in south Texas after his retirement. Most of all she loved her family and leaves them with many good memories.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Scott Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church, UMW Bereavement Fund.
