Victoria Ellen Proffer

FREDERICKTOWN - Victoria Ellen Proffer, of Fredericktown, passed away April 6, 2021 at her home at the age of 65. She was born in Peoria, Illinois on September 16, 1955 to the late Odis Proffer and Lois (Stacy) Proffer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Cowie. Torie, as most knew her, proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in the early 1970's stationed at Parris Island. She later owned one of the first internet service provider businesses in St. Francois County and in St. Louis. A lover of the outdoors, Torie enjoyed riding four wheelers, camping and kayaking. She was at home living in the woods and raising her chickens. Survivors include her daughter, Alexandria Hill; two grandsons, Hunter Marler and Jaxon Hill; a sister, Stacy Proffer; her niece, Samantha and nephew Christian.
