Victor Louie Vanhoye

FARMINGTON Victor Louie Van Hoye of Farmington passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his rural Farmington home at the age of 71 years, 10 months, and 21 days. He was born on November 21, 1944 at Buckner, Illinois son of the late Leon Emile and Mary (Villian) Van Hoye. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Carole J. (Cornman) Van Hoye, three sisters Blanche Leach, Leona Gunter and one in infancy, a brother Henry Van Hoye, and seven step-brothers and sisters.

Vic was a retired auto-worker having worked at the General Motors plant in Wentzville for 30 plus years and was a member of the United Auto Workers. In his spare time he enjoyed watching Cardinal's Baseball, Hunting, and working in the garage, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, L. Scott Van Hoye (& Kimberly) of Wentzville and Leonard R. Smith of Park Hills, six daughters, Sheila (& Ray) Galvan of Farmington, Connie (& Marty) Hodge of Farmington, Karen Smith of Farmington, Melinda (& Randy) Stevens of Annapolis, Becky Smith of Park Hills, and Christy (& Allen) Galvan of Park Hills, a sister Germaine (& Ed) Curtis of Kalkaska, Michigan, a brother Emile Van Hoye of Denver, Colorado, a step-brother Lester (Sue) Sharp of Mountain View, 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Friends may call on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5-8 p.m at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume on Monday from 7 a.m until the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Jimmy Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
