Velvet Ward

FARMINGTON Velvet Ward of Farmington passed away on May 7, 2019 and went on to be fitted for her angel wings and halo on May 7, 2019 at the age of 57. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 23, 1961 to the late Harold Thomas Cochran and Annie Nadine (Brown) Cochran. She owned Velvets Crafts and Things and sold her craft items at home parties and at various festivals throughout the year. In addition to loving to craft, Velvet enjoyed fishing. She will be fondly remembered by her family as a very loving and sweet lady. Survivors include her loving husband of 19 years, Fred Ward; four children, Andrea, Thomas, Clay and Tyrell; numerous grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Glenn and sister-in-law, Frances (Alvin) McFadden. There will be a visitation at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 5 8 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 9 at Knob Lick Cemetery with Rev.
