Vashti Francis

Vashti Francis of Farmington passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2007, at Presbyterian Manor, at the age of 94 years. She was born on June 4, 1912, the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy (Woolery) Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Silas E. Francis, and a grandson, Geoffrey Silas Francis. Mrs. Francis was an ordained Assembly of God Evangelist. She received her Masters in education at Northern Illinois University. She was a great teacher and enjoyed coaching drama. She also played several musical instruments and enjoyed giving music lessons. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Hills. She is survived by a son, Steven Francis and wife Rita of Farmington, a daughter, Diana McMillen-Reynolds and husband Bill of Lewisville, TX, four grandchildren, Jim McMillen and wife Mary Ann of Apollo Beach FL, Tammy Warren and husband Lance of Farmington, Gregory Francis and wife Melinda of Lititz, PA, and Daniel Francis and wife Leigh of St. Louis, three great grandchildren, Kyle Warren, Sydney Warren, and Silas M. Francis. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2007. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Robert Eggers, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
