FARMINGTON V. Delroy "Red" Gann, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2023, at Parkland Health Center at the age of 94. He was born on April 16, 1929, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late Roy C. and Irene (Easter) Gann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene (Swanguarim) Gann, his stepdaughter, Janet Cunningham, and his brothers, Ivan, Delbert, and Linn Gann. Red is survived by his nieces and nephews, Debby, Rachel, Steve (Teresa) and John Gann, Mary (Aron) Smith, and Paul Sweeney, his sister-in-law, Shirley Gann, his companion, Bertha Byington and family members, Sue (Ray) Lewis, Ben, Eryn, Madi, and Gabe Kletti, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Red proudly served as a United States Army veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of the Samaritan Masonic Lodge #424 for 68 years and a member of the American Legion Post #416 of Farmington. He was a "railroader" with Missouri Pacific, Missouri-Illinois, and Union Pacific for a total of 42 years. He enjoyed many years of camping and fishing with friends at the "Slime Pond" in Mine La Motte. He also enjoyed sharing tomatoes from his garden through the years. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Brother Tim Reed.
