Ursula Schlott, of Farmington, passed away at Presbyterian Manor on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the age of 85. She was born on May 11, 1927, at Zwickau, East Germany. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Erich Fischer. Ursula grew up in East Germany and was formally schooled in the art of dressmaking. She went on to become an accomplished seamstress, dressmaker and tailor. In 1960, she and her family moved to the United States and settled in St. Louis. In 2005 they moved to Farmington to be near their daughter, Monika and her family. Ursula and her husband, Johannes were members of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall of Farmington. Ursula enjoyed plants and flowers and was a wonderful homemaker who took great pride in her home. She will be remembered by friends and family as an excellent cook. Everyone looked forward to her meals which were German specialties. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Johannes Schlott; daughter, Monika (Mrs. Don) Koen all of Farmington; two grandchildren, Matthew Smith of St. Louis and Sonja (Mrs. Trilo) Das of Austin, TX; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anneliese Kurzhals and husband, Gerd, of Arnold.
