Tyler Jay Springstead

Tyler Jay Springstead passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the age of 30. He was born on October 11, 1982, at Topeka, KS, son of Easton Jay Springstead and Stacey Lea (Tork) Springstead. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Tork; his maternal great-grandmother, Alice Creasy and his paternal grandparents, Jack and Flora Springstead. Tyler grew up in the Bismarck and Farmington area where he attended school. He proudly served for one year in Iraq in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division stationed in Fort Campbell, KY. He went on to attend Mineral Area college after leaving the military. Most recently, Tyler lived in Tucson, Arizona with his cousin, Regina Parker. Tyler will be most remembered for his witty personality and for his kind and sensitive ways. He was an avid fisherman, camper and surfer. Survivors in addition to his parents are his brother, Cullan and wife, Sarah; a nephew, Rhys; his grandmother, Nita Mae Tork, all of Farmington; special friends, Debbie Snead, Nick Davis, Regina Parker, and Lindy Schubert; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Tuesday, March 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 7 a.m. until the service in the Cozean Chapel beginning at 10 a.m. with Reverend Scott Hall officiating. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dry Hootch of America at dryhootch.org.
