Troy Kennedy Sr.

Troy Eugene Kennedy Sr., of Farmington, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Camelot Nursing and Rehab Center, at the age of 87 years. He was born on September 22, 1922, in Flat River, the son of the late Ben and Ida Mae (Francis) Kennedy. His wife, Gloria Kennedy, two daughters, Susan Moore and Nikki Maurer, several grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters and an infant brother, also preceded him in death. Troy was a member of the Genevieve Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army in World War II. He worked in the construction industry. He is survived by four sons, David Kennedy (Myrna) of Desloge, Kenneth Kennedy (Pat) of Ste. Genevieve County, Richard Kennedy ( Toni ) of Farmington and Troy Kennedy Jr. (Leah) of Indiana, four daughters, Jean Hammers (Don) of Ste. Genevieve County, Sherry Wilson (Clarence), Trudy Turner (Jim), and Penny Fulk (Ralph) all of Farmington, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. on Wednesday with a funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Elmer Killian officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery.
