Tina Maria Beason

July 20, 1957 — October 27, 2023

FARMINGTON Tina Maria Beason, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2023, at the age of 66. She was born on July 20, 1957, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to the late Earl and June Dickey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Earlene Lietz, Paul Dickey, and Beverly Johnson. Tina is survived by her loving husband, Lee Beason, her children, Brian "Heath" (Valerie) Tiefenauer, Heather Marie Tiefenauer Flynn, Tianna (Bobby) Ferguson, Ryan (Kayla) Beason, Carrie (Cary) Watts, and Heather Kay (Jon) Truman, her grandchildren, Alyssa, Courtney, Coty, Gabriel, Katy, Liam, and Layla, her brothers, Terry Dickey and Earl (Barbara) Dickey Jr., her aunt, Lovina Hedicke Griffon, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Tina always demonstrated a passion for helping others develop their personal and professional lives. She served as a Girl Scout Leader and Community Chairman. She achieved certification as Young American Bowling Alliance instructor and served several years as an instructor for the young bowlers at Lindsey Air Station, Germany. While in Germany, she also worked at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service stereo shop. During the annual Return of Forces to Europe exercises, she drove and operated sales from a mobile field exchange truck for the troupes in Belgium. On return to the states, Tina worked several different jobs while attending the local college in Clovis, NM before gaining her Associates of Science Degree in nursing and getting licensed as a Registered Nurse. She advanced through multiple assignments in nursing facilities including Charge Nurse, Infection Control, Staff Development, Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. But she found her true love in teaching and working with hospice patients. Tina spent a year traveling through South Carolina opening new community offices for Hospice Care of South Carolina. Her last move was to her hometown of Farmington, where she continued working both in hospice and teaching through several nursing homes as well as Jefferson College and Unitec. She taught Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medication Technician, and Insulin Administration classes. She used her love of life and desire to care for others to bring out the best in her students. Even as her health declined and she was mobile only with her little red scooter and portable oxygen concentrator, her students wanted her to continue teaching so much that they would load and unload the scooter in the back of her truck through the end of the semester. Tina put her artistic and craft skills into works of love. She had a 120 square foot "she shed" filled with adhesive vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, glitter, epoxy, tumblers, and tee shirts. As her mobility decreased, the projects moved indoors. When she could no longer tolerate working epoxy, her attention turned to sublimation transfer, and she excelled at that craft too. Tina had a great heart. She could give of herself and her resources until there was nothing left to give to make certain others did not go without. She had a great love for each of the children in the family and if possible, an even greater love for her grandchildren. Tina grew up attending a Free Will Baptist Church and prayed that no matter what church her children chose, that they would all accept Jesus as their savior and turn to him often in their daily lives. Tina also enjoyed photography and bird watching. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Per Tinas request, no formal services will be held. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or https://www.stjude.org. Share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
