Thomas Wright

Thomas Willard Wright of Farmington passed away on Friday, August 24, 2007, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, at the age of 70 years. He was born on July 13, 1937, in Farmington, the son of the late Willard and Hilda (Underwood) Wright. He was also preceded by a daughter, Carla Jane Wright, a brother, William L. Wright, and a sister, Ruth Ann Harris. Mr. Wright was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Baptist. Church and served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962. After the service he worked as a manager for Martin Oil Filling Station in Farmington until his retirement. He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals play and watching the television shows, Leave it to Beaver and Munsters . He is survived by a son, Thomas Wayne Wright Jr. of Park Hills and a step son, Clark David Nicholson of Leadwood, two grandsons, Tyler and Dylan Wright, three brothers, Donald Wright of Doe Run, Clarence Wright of the state of California, and Rev. David Wright and wife Betsy of Farmington, four sisters, Patricia Conner and husband William, Mary Gordon and husband Joe, Sharon McClure and husband William, and Deborah Mesey and husband Clarence, all of Farmington, an uncle, William Wright and an aunt, Bernice Wright, both of Farmington. Many other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel with the Rev. David Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be directed to Little Vine Cemetery Association.
