Dr. Thomas Joseph Cooper of Farmington passed away at his home near Libertyville on October 31, 2016 at the age of 92. He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky March 30, 1924 to the late Phillip Cooper and Elizabeth (Hill) Cooper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Cooper and Clement Cooper.
Dr. Cooper proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the 1950's after his graduation from medical school. He retired to his Libertyville farm after a long career as a pathologist in the St. Louis area. He loved rural living where hunting and fishing was close at hand.
He will be missed by those who loved him, including his wife, Barbara Joe (Brann) Cooper; his children Thomas Joseph Cooper, Jr. and wife Jan, Barbara Ann Lawrence and husband Robert, John Phillip Cooper and Mary Frances Cooper; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
