Thomas D. Dane

Thomas D. Dane of Farmington passed away on February 13, 2011 at the age of 57 years. He was born on January 28, 1954, in Miami, FL, son of Jackie Dane-Fussell and the late Joseph Dorzinski. He was also preceded in death by a son, Damion T. Dane, a grandson, Damion P. Dane, a step-father, Orson Fussell and his beloved grandparents. Mr. Dane was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington, where he worked with the Methodist Youth Fellowship group. He also served as Webelos Pack leader, Boy Scout Leader and Merit Badge counselor for Troop 471 BSA for numerous years. Mr. Dane was a member of the St. Francois Masonic Lodge at Libertyville, and the Farmington Order of the Eastern Star, and always ready to give some one a helping hand. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Lyman) Dane, his mother, Jackie Dane-Fussell of Columbus, OH, a son, Jason C. Dane (wife Michelle) and grandchildren Justin, Charles Charlie , and Lore, all of Ellington, MO, two sisters, Mrs. Linda Kowalski (William) of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Mimi Dane (Emil) of Columbus, OH, three brothers, Joseph Skip Dane of the State of Washington, Dan Dane (wife Sue) of Milwaukee, and Frank Dane (wife Linda) of Roanoke, VA, numerous nieces and nephews and very special family friends. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011, with a Masonic and Eastern Star service at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 7 to 8:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Rick Broadway officiating. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Shriners Childrens Hospital.
