Theresa Regina Bayless

KNOB LICK Theresa Regina Bayless, of Knob Lick, passed away May 9, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Desloge at the age of 86. She was born October 9, 1930 in Fredericktown to the late Joseph P. Richards and Effie A. (Jansen) Richards. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband of 41 years, Jack D. Bayless in 1990; a daughter, Denice N. DeWeez in 2006; three brothers, Joseph "Jr." Richards, Cletus Richards and Thomas Richards and two sisters, Katherine Enman and Ursula Hoose.

Theresa was a long time resident of the area having worked at Trimfoot Manufacturing. She enjoyed having a large vegetable garden and was an avid bowler as well.

Survivors include her three children, Dennis Michael (Connie) Bayless, Debra G. (Ricky) Stanfill and Stanley D. (Cherri) Bayless; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Theodore "Eli" DeWeez; two sisters, Mary Richards and Monica Pinson and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 11 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 7 a.m until 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Father James Dyer as celebrant.
