Theodore Mccarty

ST. LOUIS - Theodore "Ted" McCarty of Oakville, passed away May 10, 2020 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 89. He was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on May 5, 1931 to the late Andy and Arizona (Everett) McCarty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Crites) McCarty along with his second wife, Pauline McCarty and many siblings. Ted previously worked as an assembler for Lincoln St. Louis and proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ted is survived by his son, James "Jim" and his wife, Laurie (Shaffer) McCarty of Oakville, his grandchildren, Katelyn McCarty and Michael McCarty, his sister, Jean Bennett, of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 11:00am at Brush Creek Cemetery in Gray Summit. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the South County Senior Center, 225 Lemay Ferry Road, St Louis, MO 63125, the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
