Thelma I. Adams, formerly of Farmington, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Canton Nursing Center in Canton, GA, at the age of 95 years. She was born January 12, 1914, at Mine La Motte, daughter of the late Benjamin and Rosa (Mills) McGraw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Adams, a brother, Clifford McGraw of Fredericktown, and a sister, Lydia Shepard of San Diego, CA. Thelma was a member for many years at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Farmington, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by two loving daughters; Anna Rose Gardner of Clinton Township, MI, and Saundra Gilbert of Canton, GA, two son-in-laws, Rev. Leonard Gardner and Kenneth Gilbert, and a sister, Emma Langley of St. Louis. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, with a funeral service following at 12 p.m. noon with the Rev. Roger Hogan officiating.
