Thelma G. Clubb

Thelma G. Clubb of Farmington passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the home of her daughter in St. Clair, Missouri at the age of 79. She was born January 10, 1936 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Clifford and Pearl (Payne) Tennison. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Junior Clubb in 2012; brothers, Guy Tennison, Leon Tennison, Alvin Tennison; and sisters, Mathel Brummett and Ileen Campbell.

Thelma was a faithful member of Calvary Temple in Fredericktown. She proudly served her husband and family as a dedicated wife and mother who would lend a hand to anyone who needed anything. After Marvin's retirement in 1985 they moved to Farmington where they enjoyed camping, gardening and visiting with friends and family. Her family will fondly remember her cooking abilities and the many delicious meals she prepared for them. Thelma's sense of humor will not be soon be forgotten as she always kept everyone laughing and smiling.

Survivors include her children, Sheila (Mrs. Don) Walters of St. Clair, Steve Clubb and wife, Gail of Pacific, Tim Clubb and wife, Sheryl of Eureka and Melinda Haywood of Ste. Genevieve; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Julia, Stacy, Tim, Ryan, Kyle, Rachel, Kayla and Sarah; six great-grandchildren, Devon, Justin, Paige, Janelle, Karson and Mason and two more on the way; three sisters, Geraldine Walls, Ruth Street and Edith Mosbey. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at Calvary Temple in Fredericktown beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Randy Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Lodi. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
