Thelma Armon Thomure

FARMINGTON - Thelma Armon Thomure, of Farmington, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the age of 84. She was born August 6, 1939, at Flat River to the late Thomas Armon and Goldie (Ellis) Armon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all her siblings. Thelma grew up in St. Louis where she would meet the love of her life, Bobby Thomure, who she danced with at a popular dance club in St. Louis. They were married in St Louis in June of 1960. In the 1970s the family moved to Coffman, Missouri to be close to family. She worked as a cafeteria worker for Farmington Public Schools and retired after many years there. During her retirement she enjoyed shopping, dancing, camping, and traveling to the beach. Her keen sense of humor was one of her most endearing features. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Her family will fondly remember how she loved to go on long drives and just to "go go". Survivors include her loving husband, Bobby Gene Thomure; daughters, Sherry (Norman) Kissinger, Karen (Bill) Vincent and Christina (Gary) Thomas; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and good friends. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 5, 2023, beginning at 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Chaplain Bob Crecelius officiating.
