Teanette Ann Helm

FARMINGTON - Teanette Ann Helm, of Farmington, passed away October 5, 2022 at Mercy Jefferson in Festus at the age of 73. She was born December 24, 1948 in St. Louis to the late David Roy Minks and Margaret Teanette Miersch. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother, LaVerta Minks; the love of her life, Danny Snyder in 1994; and her good friend, Larry Hahn in 2020. Many will remember Teanette as "Toots" as many friends and family called her. She graduated from Herculaneum High School in 1966 and later graduated from Mineral Area College with an Associates Degree in Secretarial Studies. She was employed in the bail bonding business in St. Louis and also worked in the St. Louis City court system as a court reporter. Toots loved playing bingo and card games. She loved the outdoors and made many trips to the river where she enjoyed camping. Her children will remember their mom's singing, her keen sense of humor and also her ability to stay strong throughout. She had a strong bond with each of her children and loved it when they were in her presence. Her dog, Buffy and grand-dog, Tonka held a special place in her heart. She will be missed by all those who loved her including her children, Benjamin (Janean) Cawvey, Lisa (Trevor) Cawvey, Joseph (Ashley) Helm and Danielle Snyder; grandchildren, Logan, Dawson, Brenden, Aiden, Ava, Adessa, Aarek; great grandchildren, Thomas, Wyatt, Isabelle and Amina; and her siblings, Terry Minks, Kathy (Mike) Rawson, Evelyn (Joe) Minks-Bobbett, David (Carla) Minks, Jeanna Delp, Kim Crabdree, Joseph (Sarah) Minks, Margaret (Jon) Bobbett and Kristie (Michael) Widdow. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family. A memorial service to celebrate Teanette's life will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 5 p.m. in the Cozean Memorial Chapel.
