Sylvia Jean Laramore of Cumming, GA, formerly of Farmington, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at her daughter's home at the age of 74 years. She was born on August 12, 1936, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Arthur and Thelma (Woodruff) Hughes. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jewell D. Laramore, her second husband, Harley M. Laramore, and an infant brother, Jerry Hughes. Sylvia was retired from Foremost Foods where she had been employed as an office manager. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, arts and crafts, sewing, and caring for her tropical birds and beloved dogs. Sylvia will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, including her son, Jerry Laramore of Meridian, ID, a daughter, Kathy (Kenneth) Key of Cumming, GA, a sister, Sherry Bequette of Farmington, two grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Ron Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Park Hills. Memorials may be made to the St. Francois County Relay for Life.
