Susan Margaret Nickles

FREDERICKTOWN Susan Nickles, 73, passed November 17, 2017 at Madison Memorial Medical Center in Fredericktown. She was born in St. Louis on October 30, 1944 to the late James Mark Hill, Sr. and Margaret (Hensley) Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas M. Hill. She is survived by a brother, James Mark Hill, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Choctaw, Oklahoma; two nieces and one nephew, Kathy Creighton, Kim Hill and Michael Hill and numerous cousins. Susan grew up in south St. Louis where she attended school. She graduated from Lutheran High South in Affton, Missouri. After graduating from business school, she began a long career with Lutheran Laymen's League (Lutheran Hour Ministries). She enjoyed traveling to various destinations both with friends and family. Quilting was one of her favorite pastimes. A dog lover, Susan, always had a canine companion at her side. She was a faithful Christian who rarely missed church, as well as bible study groups. Susan also enjoyed singing in the church choir.

Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21 with a service to follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Rev. Rick Foss officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
