Stanley Pocius

Stanley Bruno Pocius Jr. of Farmington passed away on Friday, July 13, 2007, at Community Manor, at the age of 93 years. He was born on February 4, 1914, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Stanley and Josephine (Gotautus) Pocius. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Carobus and Dolores Schroeder. He is survived by four children, Howard Pocius of Palos Park, IL, John Pocius of Elmhurst, IL, Frances Edgecombe, and Paul Pocius both of Portland, OR, six grandchildren: Richard Edgecombe, Lauren Edgecombe, Ross Edgecombe, Andrew Pocius, Philip Pocius, and Rey Pocius, and a sister, Helen Leho of Sherman Oaks, CA. Mr. Pocius was a talented artist and sculptor. He worked and trained under master sculptor Laredo Taft, with some of his sculptors on display in museums in Chicago. Mr. Pocius was the former owner of AAA Engravers. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Burial services will be Thursday, July 19, 2007, at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago, IL
