He worked in Nevada at an ammunitions plant for several years before returning to Advance where he began his career in shoe manufacturing. He worked for various shoe manufacturing companies and eventually retired from Keen Shoe Manufacturing in China. In his spare time Stanley enjoyed woodworking and fishing. His cocker spaniel, Abby, was his full-time companion and he loved spoiling her. A one-of-a-kind man with a great dry sense of humor, Stanley was loved dearly by all his family and friends.
