Shirley Shearrer

FARMINGTON - Shirley J. Shearrer of Farmington, passed away June 24, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 85. She was born in Patterson, Missouri on April 20, 1936 to the late Hayes Shearrer and Avis (Spain) Shearrer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Lillie Dalton. Shirley was a graduate of Fredericktown High School. She moved to St. Louis early in her adult life where she worked for a manufacturing firm. For approximately 20 years Shirley worked for Color Art in Crestwood, Missouri where she was shipping coordinator. She loved gardening and flowers as well as watching and listening to the song birds in her yard. She was always a great support to others and eager to help in any way she could. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Eaton Corno of Farmington and her son, Richard (Joyce) Eaton of Doniphan; her grandchildren, Jaclyn (Brian) Jaeschke of Hillsboro and Ryan Eaton of Festus; great grandchildren, Natalie and Adalynn Jaeschke; her brother, C.J. (Bev) Shearrer of Branson and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel.
