FARMINGTON - Shirley Jo Colvin of Farmington, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Country Meadows Nursing Home at the age of 76. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on July 24, 1946 to the late Clell Columbus Stephenson and Ruth M. (Nauyoke) Stephenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leroy Colvin in 2016 as well as two brothers, Charles Albert Stephenson in 1999 and Clell Ray Stephenson in 2018. Shirley never met a stranger and she made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed being a CNA and had been employed at Mineral Area Hospital for a number of years and worked for several nursing homes as well. She was passionate about volunteering for various organizations in her community. She was a faithful member of Parkland Chapel of Farmington and was in the Eastern Star. Her favorite pastimes included cross stitching, playing card games with family and friends, watching Cardinal Baseball and shopping. Shirley always had a love of animals and enjoyed her family pets through the years. Survivors include her beloved daughters, Rena (Paul) Watts of California, Missouri and Tina (Michael) Siddon of Madisonville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Joshua Watts, Caleb Watts, Connor Siddon and Madeline Siddon. Several nieces and extended family members survive as well. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 - 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Mike Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Parkland Chapel or Preferred Hospice in care of the funeral home.
