Shelby Jean Holt

DIXON- Shelby Jean Holt of Dixon, formerly of Farmington, passed away Saturday July13, 2013 at her home at the age of 75 years. She was born November 1, 1937 in Ste. Genevieve County, daughter of the late Charles Elmer and Gertrude Ellen (Carnhill) Archambo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Archambo and John "Bill" Archambo, and a sister Dorothy Rapert. Shelby grew up in the Chestnut Ridge Community and attended school there and graduated from Ste. Genevieve High school. For the past several years she has made her home in the Dixon area. She is survived by four sons: William E. Holt, Jr. and Charles R. Holt, both of Park Hills, and Terry J. Holt of St. Joseph and Scott A. Holt of Henrietta; four sisters, Ruth Stam of Farmington, June Gordon of Park Hills, Patricia Peyton of Fredericktown, and Donna Helms of Doniphan; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a long-time friend and companion, Sharon Wilburn of Dixon. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. Memorials, if desired may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center or to any Animal Rescue Center of the donor's choice.
