Sarah Glenora Nichols of Farmington, was born March 9, 1916, near Farmington, MO, and passed away at Parkland Health Center on February 11, 2010 at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and two days. She was born on March 9, 1916, near Farmington, daughter of the late John K. and Myrtle Glenora (Cunningham) Wise. She was raised in the home of Percy and Lillie Cunningham. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Lewis and Madlyn Wise, a brother, John Gordon (Bill) Wise, and step-son Lee Roy Nichols. She is survived by a son, David (Nancy) Gillispie of Farmington; step-daughters Doris (Sterlyn) Stevens and Charlotte Nichols-Stevens of Bismarck; and step-daughter-in-law Janet Nichols (Eaves) of Farmington. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Dean Gillispie of Houston, TX; Bruce Gillispie (partner of Steve Wright), of Rogers, AR; Cheryl (Bill) Nash, Imperial, MO; eight step-grandchildren, Beth (Mike) Dalton, Jean (Curtis) Glore of Farmington, Sterlyn (Becky) Stevens II of Terre du Lac; Chris (Leslie) Nichols of St. James, MO; Greg (Robin) Nichols of Park Hills; Michelle (John) Daniel of Farmington; Jennifer (Jay) Moser of Katie, TX; Allison (Mark) Stewart of Chandler, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Megan and Katie Gillispie of Houston, TX; and Sarah Nash, Imperial, MO; and seventeen step-great-grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Doris Denison of Farmington. She was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church of Farmington. She cared for children in her home, touching the lives of many who called her Grandma Glen. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010. Visitation will resume on Sunday at 10 a.m. until the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Jerry Glisson officiating.
