It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sarah Marybeth Chiero, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, who left this world on March 30, 2025. Sarah was born on July 9, 1992, in Orlando, Florida, and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sarah was a devoted homemaker, finding her greatest joy in the roles of wife and mother. She was incredibly proud of her three sons, Isaac Louis, Isaiah Matthew, and Elijah Christopher, and cherished every moment spent playing and swimming with them and teaching them new things.
In addition to her family life, Sarah had a passion for music and film. She enjoyed listening to classical and alternative genres, especially her favorite musicians, including Paul McCartney, Lana Del Rey, and Adele. She loved movies, particularly The Lord of the Rings franchise. Sarah found joy in the simple pleasures of life — riding through the countryside, watching baseball, painting, and following the intricacies of politics, where she always had an informed opinion to share.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Matthew Joseph Chiero, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Her parents, Margaret (Walters) Hafner and Gerald Wesley (Lisa) Hafner, continue to hold her memory dear, as do her grandmother, Mary Lou Hafner, and her siblings, Christopher (Megan) Hafner and Brooke Hafner. Sarah is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Nicholas Chiero, Jacqueline Chiero, Joshua Chiero, Elizabeth Chiero, and Christopher Chiero. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews — Kendall, Madisyon, Heidi, and Emery Hafner, along with Sam and Jacob Rowe, Oliver Hinch, and Alyssa, Amy, and Christina Chiero — who will forever remember her love and guidance.
She is now reunited eternally with her infant son, Anthony Joseph Chiero, as well as her mother-in-law, Catherine Chiero, and father-in-law, Louis Chiero. She is also reunited with her beloved grandparents, Richard Hafner, Bobby Ray Walters, and Katherine Brooks Walters, and her uncles, Charles Hafner and Martin Lynn Walters, and aunt, Rose Hafner.
A memorial service to honor Sarah's life will take place at Cozean Memorial Chapel and Crematory in Farmington, Missouri, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM officiated by Father William Thess, followed by a celebration of life at Twin Oaks Vineyard, 6470 Highway F, Farmington, MO from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.
Sarah Marybeth Chiero’s legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of those she loved. She will be deeply missed, but her laughter, kindness, and nurturing spirit will live on through her family and friends. May her soul rest in everlasting peace.
