Sandra S. Vogelsang

FARMINGTON Sandra S. Vogelsang, of Farmington, passed away December 9, 2015 at Camelot Nursing Center at the age of 81. She was born October 27, 1934 in Perryville, Missouri to the late Dr. anad Mrs. Milo Cherry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, William Cherry and a grandson, Christopher Vogelsang.

Sandra was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she worked as a church and school secretary for 17 years. She will be remembered as an avid animal lover whose door was always open to strays.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Robert G. Vogelsang; sons, Robert G. Vogelsang, II of Farmington and Victor (Donna) Vogelsang of Desloge; four grandchildren, Lucas (Kelsey) and Maggie of Farmington and Chelsea and Dylan of Desloge; a great granddaughter, Avery Vogelsang of Desloge; and her special best friend Judy Shaw.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 12 at St. Paul Lutheran Church beginning at 12 noon followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. with Pastor William Schrader officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran School Endowment Fund or Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
