Dorothy Ruth Jennings of Farmington passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at her residence, at the age of 89 years. She was born on February 19, 1918, in Patterson, MO, the daughter of the late Leslie and Cora (Hovis) Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jennings, daughter, Dorothy Powell, two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Jennings was a member of the Hayti United Methodist Church, where she also was a member of the Womens Group. Before her retirement, she was Collections Clerk at City of Hayti Utilities Dept., Hayti, MO. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Lantto (Reuben) of Minnesota, and Karen Reeves (Sonny) of St. Louis; six grandchildren: Melodie Powell, Michelle Vickery, Caprice Lantto-Walker, Gordie Lantto, Jolie Lillie, and Kirsten Reeves; four great-grandchildren: Reece, Micah, Madeleine and Harrison; two sisters: Maxine Montgomery of Farmington and Maurine McAllister of Piedmont; two brothers: Hugh Davis of Arnold and Joe Davis of Warrenton. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2007. A funeral service will follow on Sunday at the Cozean Chapel at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Grey officiating. Private Family Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Lodi, MO.
