Ruth Ann Sumakeris

Ruth Ann Ross Sumakeris of Farmington passed away prematurely after a severe bout with cancer in her home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the age of 71 years. She was born on November 7, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Walter and Alice Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Al Sumakeris, a brother, Lin Ross, and a sister, Anita Wampler. Ruth was a hard worker and worked almost her entire life. She recently retired from Parkland Health Hospital in Farmington. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jeff Jasso, a granddaughter, Deserie (and Chris Geyer and their children Nathan and Layla), a grandson, Joseph (and Kristen Jasso, and their daughter Natellie). Also surviving are her niece, Sandy Wuest and her family, and her nephew Tommy Koch and his family. Friends and family may visit at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015.
