Rosemary Janet Gibson

February 13, 1930 — October 22, 2024

FARMINGTON – Rosemary Janet Gibson, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on October 22, 2024, at Cedarhurst of Arnold at the age of 94. She was born in Goodwater, Missouri, on February 13, 1930, to Matthew and Goldie (Brooks) Jarvis.


Rosemary is survived by her children, Mary Mueller of St. Louis and Charles (Susan) Gibson of Imperial, her son-in-law, Gary Seavey of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Lisa (Scott Dedert) Gibson, Cara (Jason) Sapienza, Crista (Jason) Bahr, Joe Massing, Paul (Holly) Gibson, Billy (Krystal) Massing, Adena (Jim) Schlarman, Jessica (Jerry) Lyston, and Jonna Gibson, her great grandchildren; Logan, Luke, Ryker, Carlie, Daniel, Giuliana, Ava, Adelynn, Riley, Donna, Emry, Emmalynn, Brayden, Vaeda, Alyssa, Olivia, and Haisley; her sister, Emma (Frank) Lashley of Ironton, her brother-in-law, Edward Gibson, her sister-in-law, Janelle Gibson, along with many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.


In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Billy Charles Gibson; her son, Ricky Dean Gibson, her daughter, Karen Elaine Seavey, her daughter-in-law, Linda Gibson, her son-in-law, Oliver “Sonny” Mueller; her grandson, Scott Heinicke; her siblings, Bonnie Gibson, Betty Ogle Smith (the late Bob Ogle and the late Darrell Smith), Mathew “Junior” (the late Juanita) Jarvis, her sister-in-law, Dolores (the late Lane) Stites, and her brother-in-law, Gary Gibson.


Rosemary worked as a baker for the Affton School District. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Webster Groves. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, cooking, and gardening. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories.


A visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Don Bahr. Interment to follow at Viburnum Baptist Cemetery.
