Rosemary Jane Harrison

September 27, 1932 — February 1, 2013

Rosemary Jane Harrison, of Farmington, Missouri and formerly of Grandview, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the age of 80. She was born on September 27, 1932, at Waverly, Kansas, daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Godsey) Brown. In addition to her parents Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Harrison in 1992; a son, Jimmy Grindstaff; three sisters and one brother. A graduate of Waverly High School, Rosemary went on to Secretarial College in Kansas City, Missouri. She was employed for over thirty years at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. After her retirement in 2004 she volunteered her time at the Grandview Baptist Church where she had been a member for many years. In 2011 she moved to Farmington, Missouri to be near her family. Her wonderful cinnamon rolls were favorites with family members and friends. Rosemary will be most remembered as a devoted mother who loved her family. Her great-granddaughter, Ava, was the apple of her eye. Survivors include her son, Paul Grindstaff, Jr. and wife, Terri; grandson, Paul Grindstaff, III and wife, Ashley; and great-granddaughter, Ava, all of Farmington. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6 at 9:30 a.m. at the Waverly Baptist Church followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:30 with Pastor Tim Ricketts officiating. Interment will be in Waverly Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Mid America Heart Institute.
