Rose Mary Montgomery

FREDERICKTOWN Rose Mary Montgomery of Fredericktown, entered into eternal rest on April 23, 2023, at Madison Medical Center at the age of 65. She was born on February 24, 1958, in Ironton, Missouri, to the late Earl Eugene Mayberry Sr. and Loretta (Dunbar) Mayberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laiklyn Johnston and her brothers, Lester Mayberry, and Kenny Mayberry. Rose is survived by her children, Loretta (Heath Rawlins) Montgomery of Park Hills, Mary Leanne "Crickett" (Gene) Cumberland of Bismarck, and Lukas (Jordyn) Johnston of Doe Run, her grandchildren, Gavin (Hannah) Montgomery, Abbey (David Propst) Govreau, Garrett (Alexia Helms) Govreau, Payton Govreau, Amara Johnston, Claire Johnston, and Kora Johnston, her great grandchildren, Kinsley Montgomery, Brentley Montgomery, and Rayleigh Propst, her siblings, Michael (Margie) Mayberry, David (Kathy) Mayberry, Ronnie (Cathy) Mayberry, Eleanor Johnston, Annette Tidwell, and Earl Eugene Mayberry Jr., along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rose attended Bethany Baptist Church in Ironton. She enjoyed fishing, yard sales, plants, and collecting rocks, jewelry, and porcelain dolls. She loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
