Rosalee E. Hampton

FARMINGTON Rosalee E. Hampton of Farmington passed away at Presbyterian Manor on April 4, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born on June 15, 1931 in Mine La Motte, Missouri, the daughter of Orville and Blanche (Mackley) LaChance. Rosalee was united in marriage to Donald Huffman, and to this marriage, they had two children, Rebecca Lee Huffman and Kevin Donald Huffman. Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kevin Huffman, one brother, Gerald LaChance, and husbands, Donald Huffman, Joe Meyers, and Everett Hampton. Rosalee is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lee (Donald) Halpin, her grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, and Jake Halpin, great grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Gus, and Tucker, two sisters, Betty J. (Jack) Skinner and Beverly Ann (Richard) Piucci, sister in law, Myra LaChance, a stepson, Bill Meyers, a stepdaughter, Renee Pritchett, and children of the Hampton family. Rosalee attended Knob Lick and Mine La Motte Schools, graduating from Mine La Motte High School in 1950 where she received numerous honors, such as the Editor of the school's yearbook, Libre de la Motte. She worked for a number of years as a secretary at the MFA Feed Store in Fredericktown and later worked for several years as a teller at New Era Bank in Fredericktown. Rosalee loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was always a very generous and giving person. She was a great cook and loved reading, knitting, and camping. She had been a member of the Knob Lick Church of God and was currently a member of the Farmington Church of God and had many special friends there. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Mine La Motte Cemetery.
