Ronald "Ron" Scott

Ronald James "Ron" Scott of Fredericktown passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, at the age of 72 years, 8 months, and 21 days. He was born June 22, 1937 to the late Charles and Marcella (Benoist) Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Smith) Scott in 2003. After working as a truck driver for many years, Ron became affiliated with the Farmington Daily Journal where he worked until the time of his death. He was a veteran having served his country in the United States Army. Ron showed horses and enjoyed boating. Over the years he had many enjoyable journeys on motorcycle tours with friends. Survivors include his brother-in-law, Paul Wiget and his wife Susan and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Also surviving is his favorite four-legged friend, Jo. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010, with funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Copenhagen Cemetery in Farmington.
