Robert Lewis Griffin, Sr.

STE. GENEVIEVE - Robert Lewis Griffin, Sr., 79, of Ste. Genevieve passed away April 1, 2014. He was born September 5, 1934 at Rigby, Idaho son of the late Henry A. and Golda P. (Fisher) Griffin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Cammie Lucile (McDonald) Griffin, and a son James Griffin. Mr. Griffin proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Before his retirement, Mr. Griffin worked for the Presbyterian Home for Children as a childcare worker. He also attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by two daughters, Hattie Parks of Kansas, and Cindy Jo Griffin of Virginia; five sons: Rocky Griffin of Arizona; Hyrum Griffin of St. Louis, Charles Griffin of Minnesota; Dale Griffin of Ste. Genevieve and Robert L. Griffin, Jr. of Ste. Genevieve; by 25 grandchildren and by numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, April 7, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel followed by Military Honors. Private interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity or organization of the donor's choice.
