Robert Lawson, Jr.

Robert Lawson, Jr., of Bonne Terre passed away on October 19, 2014, at the age of 58. He was born on June 14, 1956 at Frederick, Maryland, son of the late Robert George Lawson, Sr. and Dorothy Jean (Hovis) Lawson. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tracie Lawson and a brother, Benny Ray Lawson. Robert will be remembered for his laid back, easy going temperament. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the 1970's as an M-16, hand grenade specialist. He was employed as a CNA and worked in the nursing home industry. An avid sports fan, Robert especially enjoyed Cardinal baseball. Survivors include two children, Robbie Lawson, III and Michelle Lawson; four grandchildren; a brother, Mike Lawson; his fianc, Loretta Neiheiser; a nephew, Ryan Lawson, a niece, Alicia Lawson; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington with Reverend Roger Hogan officiating.
